“It was for me, too.” She slid out of bed. “And now I need a drink. What would you like?”
“Ice water.”
“Okay.”
She was gone only a few minutes, and when she came back in she carried two glasses of water. She handed one to him, then climbed onto the bed and sat on her heels, sipping her glass of water.
He liked that she didn’t run for a robe or put on clothes or hide under the covers. He admired a woman who was so confident about her body. Harmony had a right to be. She had a bangin’ body, curvy in all the right places. He reached out and smoothed his hand up and down her thigh.
“You’re beautiful,” he said.
She took a deep breath and let it out. “Thank you.” She swept her hand along his leg. “You’re pretty damn hot yourself. Let me know when you’ve had enough rest time, so we can do it again.”
He really, really liked this woman. And he was going to really, really ignore the fact she was Drake’s sister.
He put his glass on the end table, then took hers and set it down next to his. He pulled Harmony across his lap and kissed her, played with her breasts and soon had her breathless and moaning as he slid his hand between her legs.
“I’ve had enough rest time,” he said.
Her lips curved. “I figured you’d be ready to make me come again.”
“And again and again, babe.”
He’d give her all she needed. And more.
All damn night long.
Twenty
Harmony hadn’t set an alarm, mainly because she and Barrett had been up most of the night, but also because her body woke naturally anyway.
So when she got up to use the bathroom and grabbed her phone, she wrinkled her nose.
Seven a.m. So much for sleeping in. She was awake now, though, and as she stared down at Barrett’s gorgeous naked sleeping form, she figured there was no point in waking him. She slid into a pair of shorts and a tank top and went downstairs to brew coffee.
She slid her cup under the brewer and waited, checking her e-mail on her phone. Fortunately, nothing pressing happened last night and she didn’t expect anything this morning, so maybe she’d have some time to jump all over Barrett before he took off this morning.
She grabbed her now-filled cup and went to the fridge for cream, then to the sugar bowl for a teaspoon of sugar. She pulled up a chair at the table and had taken one long, glorious sip of coffee just as Barrett came down.
If she’d known he was going to show up in her kitchen shirtless and with his jeans mostly undone, she wouldn’t have bothered to make a cup of coffee, because she was definitely awake now.
He gave her a sexy smile. “Good morning.”
“Good morning. I tried not to wake you.”
“You didn’t. My body has an internal clock. It wakes itself.”
She grinned. “I know that feeling.”
He came around behind her and nuzzled the back of her neck, sending chill bumps all over her and making her nipples hard. “Sleep well?”
She reached behind her to wrap her hand around the back of his neck, then tilted her head back to kiss him. “What little sleep I had was good.”
His eyes looked exceptionally blue and desirable this morning as he made eye contact with her. “And who was the one who insisted on one more round at three a.m.?”
She shrugged, then turned around to grab her coffee. “I’m going to say it was you.”
He laughed. “Yeah, I don’t think so.”
“And I don’t recall you complaining.”
He made himself a cup of coffee, then pulled up a chair next to her at the table. “You’ll never hear me complain about sex. I’m a guy. You know how we are.”
“Yes, I do know how you are.”
She liked their morning banter, and that he hadn’t run downstairs fully dressed and ready to go out the door like so many guys she knew would do—and had done. Even Levon had been like that. He had never been one to linger, or make small talk.
“Got any appointments this morning?” Barrett asked.
She shook her head. “Not until later this afternoon. It’s mostly paperwork.”
“Good.”
“What about you?”
“Nope. I’m free.”
“That’s good.” He moved his chair closer and raised one of her legs, resting it on his thigh as he drank his coffee. “So we have some time this morning.”
“Time for what?”
“You know, to kick back and relax. Or . . . whatever.”
Her gaze drifted to his face. Hot desire was written all over it, and, coupled with the way his hand drifted up and down her leg, the warm stirrings of need quickened inside of her.
He pulled her chair closer and continued to sip his coffee. Her coffee was forgotten as his fingers inched up her thighs, sliding underneath her silk shorts to tease her bare flesh.
He arched a brow. “You dressed sparingly this morning.” He cupped her sex, his fingers tapping ever so lightly over her clit.
She drew in a breath. “I was in a hurry.”
“Needed that coffee fix, huh?”
“Yes.”
He slid his fingers lower, parting her flesh to tuck a finger into her pussy. Warm pleasure surrounded her as he found an easy rhythm that lulled her into a sensual haze.
“What do you need now, Harmony?”
She lifted her hips, riding his finger. “I need to come.”
“I know what you need. You need my hot, wet tongue on your pussy, licking you all up and down until you scream.”
